The eNorth East is a group working to encourage dialogue and consultation about use of information and communication technology for development and governance in North East region of India. The annual event of eNorth East serves as a platform for people to express their ideas and knowledge with other people. The eNorth East encourages people to discuss and share the best practices being implemented in mainstream India for better learning and replication in northeast region.
eNorth East is currently seeking nominations for Award 2011 to recognise best practices in information communication & technology towards digital inclusion in North East India.

Nominations Criteria
The following are the criteria for nominations:
– Applications & practice is to have relevance and presence in North East India.
– Nominees have successful and sustainable applications and services developed and deployed in locations with demonstrated impact in quantity and quality.
– Applications and services projects must be on ground for more than 1 year.
– Nominated projects have to be based on ICT applications.
– Mere innovative ideas and designs are not applicable for eNorth East Awards.
The eNorth East Award Jury
The ‘eNorth East’ Award Jury will held in the month of October 2011 to pick up the winning projects. The Jury shall consist of ICT and technology, governance and development experts from Government, industry, civil society and academia who will meet for one full day in October to decide the winners.
The eNorth East Award Evening 2011
The winning projects will be invited in the e-North East 2011 event platform on November 25, 2011 at Kohima to share and present their cases. The winners will be recognized, felicitated by the invited guests of honours in the ‘eNorth East Award’ 2011 Award evening on the same day.
