The University of Wollongong in partnership with the Bradman Foundation is pleased to grant Undergraduate Scholarship program to Indian applicants.
The scholarship, named in honour of the world’s greatest-ever cricketer, Sir Donald Bradman, is for an Indian student to study in Australia at UOW. The Premier and Gilchrist were joined by UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wellings CBE and Bradman Foundation Vice-Chair Dr Peta Seaton for the scholarship launch in Mumbai as part of an annual visit to India by UOW executives to talk to potential research partners and students.
UOW has combined with the Bradman Foundation, a charitable trust established in 1987 with the blessing of Sir Donald Bradman to promote cricket as a cultural and sporting force, to offer its first international scholarship for undergraduate study at one of Australia’s leading universities.
It is part of a wider partnership agreement between UOW and the Bradman Foundation to educate, inspire and develop young people.
The UOW Bradman Scholar will receive a 50% tuition fee waiver per standard academic year,
Eligibility–
- have passed their seventeenth birthday in the year of beginning the Scholarship
- be an Indian citizen
- have completed their secondary education at an Indian school to a level which will satisfy entrance
- conditions to the course their choice at UOW
- have a club to high level of participation in the sport of cricket
