United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in India is inviting local Indian organizations to apply for the Innovations for Forest Resources Management (InFoRM) Program. The program aims to improve the lives of people who live at the base of the economic pyramid (BOP) in India by supporting innovations at the interface of climate change, forest degradation and forest-dependent communities.
The grant size ranges from $200,000 to $4 million for a period of one to four years.
Priority areas –
- Supporting innovations for fuel wood management
- Strengthening systems for forest resources management
- Increasing income of forest dependent communities.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Local Indian organizations, non-profit organizations (or for-profit companies willing to fore go profit from this program), including private voluntary organizations, universities, research organizations, professional associations, and relevant special interest associations) are eligible to submit applications. Applicants may form partnerships with other academic institutions, private sector entities, or NGOs in submitting applications.
- Applicant must provide past performance references for itself and each proposed sub-applicant.
- Applications from individuals are not accepted. All applicants must be legally recognized organizational entities under applicable law.
