The Australia-Indonesia Institute (AII) was established by the Australian Government in 1989 to contribute to a more broadly based and enduring relationship between Australia and Indonesia. AII invites applications from Indonesia and Australia participants with project proposals that can be helpful in promoting greater mutual understanding, contact and exchange between the people of both countries.
The Institute supports programs to enhance relations between the two countries in the areas of arts, education and Australian Studies, youth, civil society, inter-faith, media and sports. The AII grants are intended to provide seed funding for innovative proposals relevant to the aims and objectives of the Institute. Project funding is awarded through a competitive selection process and normally limited to a maximum of AUD20,000 per applicant.
The Australia-Indonesia Institute’s first grant round for 2011/2012 is now open from 2 May 2011 to 3 June 2011 for applications commencing after 1 August 2011.
The Australia-Indonesia Institute (AII) invites applications for funding of small grants for projects which further the Institute’s goals, particularly (but not limited to) the Institute’s key program areas:
- Education and Australian Studies
- Religion and Society
- Youth
- Arts and Culture
- Civil Society and Media
Funding is awarded through a competitive selection process.
Applicants must complete in English the Online Grant Application form and provide all mandatory requested information and documentation.
