Birdlife International and Conservation International are accepting letter of inquiry on Women in Healthy Sustainable Societies to be implemented in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The major purpose of small grants project is to further global and local understanding and practice of gender equality and women’s empowerment vis-à-vis environmental conservation in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Applications from organizations that propose to build capacity of local civil society and community groups are particularly encouraged. The projects must focus on any one of the focus areas – community-based capacity building, education and awareness; influencing policy-level decision making; information sharing and networking; and research.
Maximum grant amount that can be requested is up to $10,000.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Non-governmental organizations, community groups, private enterprises, universities and other civil society are eligible to apply.
- Projects must be located within the sites in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in the Ecosystem Profile.
- Organizations must have their own bank account and be authorized under relevant national laws to receive charitable contributions.
The letter of inquiry must be submitted electronically (via email) before deadline.
