The German Academic Exchange Service Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) is accepting applications for In-Country/In-Region scholarships for postgraduate studies. The objective of this program is to support the development of young staff members and particularly qualified students in fields of study that are development related.
Documents Required-
- Signed curriculum vitae
- Recommendation letter by head of department indicating that are a present or prospective member of staff (original only); in case of public sector candidates: academic reference from senior lecturer and proof of employment (original only).
- Certified copies of all university degree certificates
- Certified copies of all university transcripts
- Signed information leaflet “In-Country-Scholarships 2013/2014 for Postgraduate Studies” (original only)
- At least temporary admission letter including fee structure of respective course (original or certified copy only)
- For Master only: letter of motivation (Maximum 2 pages)
- For Ph.D. degree only-
- Declaration of acceptance from academic supervisor(s) (original only)
- PhD research proposal and a detailed work plan (10 to 15 pages).
- Abstract of the proposal on one page (please include name and title of proposal)
- Confirmation of study leave from applicant’s university (if applicable)
- Confirmation of teaching release (university staff members only)
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Bachelor degree (first class honours or second class honours upper division) for Master courses, Bachelor and Master degrees for PhD courses
- No age limit, but the previous degree must not be older than 6 years at the time of application
