Lalji family and the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL) Foundation, LSE has announced scholarship for eligible applicants to pursue MSc International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies (IDHE). The objective of this program is to focus on African leadership and the challenges and opportunities facing the continent. Lalji PfAL Scholarship recipients will participate in an additional programme of workshops, lectures and seminars. The scholarships will cover fees and living costs, and the value for each student will be assessed according to financial need.
The degree provides an academically rigorous foundation together with exposure to the ‘real world’ of practitioners for those seeking either a career in the development/humanitarianism sectors or to pursue a PhD. Students follow compulsory core courses in International Development and Humanitarianism, and work on a ‘live’ team-based consultancy project for a client in the sector.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The scholarships will be awarded to applicants from South Sudan, Kenya and Uganda, with a preference for those who have completed their previous degrees within Africa
- In order to be eligible, applicant must first apply for a place on the MSc IDHE before the deadline. Only those candidates who are in receipt of an offer of program will then be considered for a Lalji PfAL Scholarship
