Europe Aid is inviting non-profit making organizations registered in Kosovo to submit concept notes on ‘Civil Society Facility for Kosovo’. The program aims to increase the skills and capabilities of civil society in Kosovo, to become more efficient, visible, cohesive, and proactive partners in the development and democratization processes. The broader objective is is to contribute to democracy, human rights and rule of law and support the EU integration process through active participation of civil society in the decision and policy making process at all levels of governance.
Action Themes –
- Lot I – Promotion of dialogue, cooperation and partnerships between government and civil society in Kosovo in order to enable a systematic consultation of CSOs in the policy and decision-making process.
- Lot II – Support to local grass-root civil society organizations to strengthen their capacities in order to increase their participation in and improve the quality of their input to the decision and policy making processes at the local level only.
Maximum grant size for both the lots is EUR200,000 which can be 55%-95% of the total estimated eligible costs of the action. The initial planned duration of any action must be between 18 to 24 months.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legal persons in non-profit making non-governmental organizations registered in Kosovo.
- Applicants must be established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country covered by Article 19 of IPA regulation.
- Applicants for Lot II must have proven experience in sub-granting.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
