U.S. Embassy Beirut invites non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to submit proposals for local projects to be implemented throughout Lebanon.
Projects should be completed within one year, and potential implementers are encouraged to be creative. The small grants program seeks proposals that emphasize women’s empowerment, youth engagement, civil society development, and other areas as listed in the application form. The Embassy welcomes applications for creative projects in other fields as well.
Project funding will range from $25,000 to $100,000, and cost sharing by the applicant NGO is encouraged. Proposals should follow the guidelines set forth under this announcement and found at U.S. Embassy Beirut website http://lebanon.usembassy.gov. Applicant organizations are required to fill in the application form and submit it no later than June 21, 2010. Late submissions will not be considered.
