Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), the Swiss Confederation pleased to offer grants for young researchers to pursue LL.M or Masters in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS).
The Geneva LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) is a one-year full-time graduate degree program providing the opportunity of an in-depth and high-profile study of international dispute settlement from a broad range of perspectives. The program covers all current approaches to the subject matter, including private and public international law, and delves into today’s relevant fields, such as commercial and investment arbitration, WTO dispute resolution and proceedings before the ICJ.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Demonstrated financial need on the part of candidates as well as their immediate and extended families, employers and any other persons who might otherwise have been able to contribute toward financing their MIDS studies
- Demonstrated failure to secure loans or scholarships from other available sources, including employers, banks, governments and private providers
- Coming from a country considered to have a developing economy
Please submit the following supporting documents, translated into English if necessary (English translations do not need to be officially certified)-
- Copies of official statements of income (Applicant’s own and/or any other relevant persons, family members or other, whom applicant might call on for support)
- Official statement from a bank or other savings institution, and/or tax forms, indicating available funds and assets
- Copies of responses to applicant’s other scholarship and/or loan requests, including from employers if applicable
