The Accountability Lab is currently inviting individuals in Liberia, Nepal and Pakistan to apply for its Accountability Incubator flagship program 2015.
The Accountability Incubator is the Lab’s flagship program to provide committed young leaders with the support they need to develop and implement innovative ideas for strengthening accountability, anti-corruption and integrity in their communities.
The Accountability Lab catalyzes a new generation of active citizens and responsible leaders around the world. Team provides hands-on, comprehensive support for the development of low-cost, high-impact tools for positive, sustainable change in Liberia, Nepal and Pakistan.
Program Benefits
- Training and Knowledge Building: 120 hours of highly interactive training accountability eco-system in their countries.
- Hands-on-mentoring and management support.
- Network and Community Building relationship.
- Media Outreach: training and opportunities to develop public speaking and writing skills.
- Connections with local and international media houses to ensure maximum exposure,assistance in building a website, social media channels, and a communications strategy.
- Seed Funding and Fundraising of up to $10,000 over 2 years.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The candidate meets the above application requirements.
- The candidate must demonstrate Lab’s values.
- The idea proposed by the candidate must be:
- Context Specific: Does the idea demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the community it will support?
- Feasible: How likely is it that the idea proposed will be achieved over time?
- Creative: Is the idea for accountability truly innovative?
- Sustainable: Do you have a plan for how the project can continue over time? Is the idea designed to have long-term impact?
- Scalable: Will the idea create a model for social change that could be expanded to other communities?
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be under 35 years of age.
- Be a national of Nepal, Pakistan or Liberia.
- In the respective countries, need to be based in or willing to travel to Monrovia, Kathmandu, or Islamabad for trainings and events.
