The global objective of this call for proposals is to support civil society in Nepal in working on human rights and democratic reform so as to pursue common agenda for human rights and political reform; build towards consensus on disputed or controversial area of policy; enhance political representation and participation; enhance the inclusiveness and pluralism of civil society; and support the implementation of EU guidelines on human rights at local level.
Specific objective of the Call for Proposals:
Specifically the call aims at strengthening the role of civil society in promoting human rights and democratic reform; supporting the initiatives for combating discriminations, and also fostering democratic practices and political participation of all communities/groups. For this purpose, the available allocation is divided into the following two lots:
LOT I aims at supporting community level actions carried out by local civil society organisations in the district in which the organisation is registered and/or adjoining district.
LOT II aims at supporting actions that have comparatively larger impacts at national or regional level.
