The Consejo Agropecuario Centroamericano (CAC) is accepting applications from interested Journalist for second edition of its Rural and Agricultural Journalism Regional Award. This award is supported by Spanish International Cooperation Agency. The mission of this award is to promote rural development as a strategic issue and encourage those who support news coverage re-positioning the sector.
Prizes-
- The first place winner will receive a personal computing equipment and a certificate of participation.
- The second place winner will receive an iPad electronic tablet and a certificate of participation.
- Three honorable mentions will be awarded which will receive a certificate and a camera.
Requirements-
- Complete the registration form and attach a copy of the curriculum vitae of the applicant along with three original copies of the work in any of the following formats: mpeg, mp4, wav, mp3, or PDF, containers for the works will be both on DVD and CD.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- This award is open to all media professionals in Central America, Belize and the Dominican Republic, whose journalistic works have been published or broadcast during the period specified in the notice (from May 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013).
- Open to residents journalists and media in one of the member countries of the CAC and whose publications have appeared in half Central American or Dominican (print, online, radio and television). Entries can be submitted individually or in groups.
