International Organisation for Migration (IOM) is currently accepting concept notes from civil society organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria. CSOs registered in Nigeria that works on migration issues to support the activities of the project and the achievement of the intended results can submit the concept notes and full proposals thereon. The proposed Projects shall be carried out in Nigeria.
The initial planned duration of the project should be between 6 to 8 months. Maximum amount per grant available is EUR 25,000.
Areas of Interest
- Advocacy and Public and institutional engagement at the highest levels of governance
- Actions that support coordination and provision of quality assistance to migrants
- Promotion of regular migration
- Capacity building
- Actions that support the implementation of the action plan of the National Migration Policy and dissemination of results of policy dialogue processes.
- Initiatives supporting multi-sectoral approach to migration management, inter-agency partnership and collaboration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Civil society organizations working on migration related activities in Nigeria can apply. It can include-
- Non-government organizations
- Academic institutions
- Research centers
- Diaspora organizations
- Migrants associations
- Applicant (CSOs) must be registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- The projects can be carried out by one CSO organisation or by a consortium of CSOs. Each CSO is eligible to submit one proposal.
- The grant amount for the project must fall between EUR 10,000 to EUR 25,000.
Application Procedure
The Project follows a two-step application process:
- A concept note
- A full proposal
Concept Note Content
- Applicants are required to submit a 5 page (maximum) concept note containing the following information:
- Background information
- Contact details
- Relevance of the project
- Description of the project
- Approach and Management
- Estimate of the budget per activity
- Other supporting documents to be attached to the concept note are-
- Copy of applicant organization’s registration certificate
- Copy of the applicant’s latest financial statements (income and expenditure and the balance sheet for the 2 previous financial years for which the accounts have been closed).
- Applicants whose concept notes have been successful will be invited to submit a full proposal.
