Applications are invited by The Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center for Emerging Leaders of Pakistan (ELP) fellowship program. For this program English is basic requirement. The aim of this fellowship is to identify, cultivate, and support young people in Pakistan who have the potential of becoming future leaders in their country, by providing them with resources and opportunities to strengthen their engagement within civil society.
The program creates a forum of engagement and collaboration for Pakistan’s young leaders to discuss and make an impact on issues such as democracy and Islam, economic development, employment, and governance. Fifteen applicants will be selected for the 2013 Fellowship, involving a three week visit to the United States and post-visit activities in Pakistan. The Fellowship seeks to encourage peer-to-peer collaboration, strengthen relations between Americans and Pakistanis, and empower the Fellows with skills and ideas through leadership training sessions and meetings.
