Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) Pakistan under its flagship Leadership Development Programme (LDP) has invited applications for fellowships from junior to mid-level professionals belonging to different sectors in Pakistan.
This programme is LEAD’s most popular and vibrant capacity building programme, which has completed 18 cohorts (batches) to-date, where the participants have acquired the skills and knowledge to make them cross-sectoral leaders in their own communities and on the world stage.
Currently there are over 285 professionals from Pakistan and over 3000 LEAD members across the world that have completed this program and become LEAD ‘fellows’.
2016 Theme
Given its vital importance, the 19th cohort of LDP has been themed around urbanisation and titled as ‘Urban Resilience and Sustainable Cities’.
About the Programme
The 19th cohort will have sessions on sustainable urban planning, urban resilience, low carbon development and role of cities to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The LEAD Pakistan Fellowship will cover all travelling and accommodation costs for learning sessions.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants interested to apply for this programme must be
- 16 years of education or above
- Minimum 3 years of cumulative experience
- Interest in one of the four LDP topical areas (demonstrated by relevant professional or research experience)
- Research experience/publications (Preferred but not required)
- Able to work in diverse teams
- Exhibit leadership potential and willingness to learn
- Sophisticated understanding of how city government functions
- Experience in urban or municipal functions strategic planning, urban development, community or participatory planning/or is highly beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Government officials are encouraged to apply
