Europe Aid is invitng applications from civil society organizations who wish to cooperate with regional, European-based or other organizations and national public-sector institutions or local authorities in Pakistan for ‘European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights Country Based Support Scheme (EIDHR CBSS)- Combating Violence Against Women (VAW) and Promoting Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment’ 2014. The major purpose of the grant program is to address Violence Against Women and Girls in a holistic way, in particular, through social and economic empowerment of women.
Projects will preferably be based on partnerships of civil society organizations. Collaboration between civil society organizations. Local/provincial/national authorities or the private sector, are also encouraged, especially to promote structured measures at local and/or national level that aim to detect, prevent and/or respond to any form of violence against women and girls; and rehabilitate women and girls survivors of any form of violence.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant must be a legal person in non-profit making organization (civil society organizations, including non-governmental organizations and independent political foundations, community based organizations, and private sector agencies, institutions and organizations, and networks thereof at local, national, regional and international level) established in a European Union Member State.
- Applicant must be able to demonstrate at least two years of work experience and to prove their capacity to manage activities corresponding to the size of the project for which the grant is requested.
Applicants who are established in the European Union must act with at least two co-applicants established in Pakistan and applicants who are established in Pakistan must act with at least one co-applicant established in Pakistan.
