All eligible organization are invited to submit project on Leadership Institute for Secondary School Teachers under The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad. The purpose of this program is to equip Pakistani secondary school teachers and administrators to use new paradigms and teaching methods to support learning in the classroom.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applicants are encouraged to partner with a Pakistan-based nonprofit organization or educational institution to assist with in-country preparation, pre-departure and debrief, and continuing activities. Proposals must realistically assess participant capacity and contain compelling objectives that address community and education needs to justify the request for support.
- Applicants must provide appropriate health insurance for all participants from Pakistan and the United States during their exchange programs.
- Foreign participants must be both qualified to receive U.S. J-1 visas and be willing to travel to the United States under the provisions and restrictions of a J-1 visa during the exchange visits funded by this program. Foreign participants may not be U.S. citizens.
- The applicant must have the ability to provide security and secure housing and transport for U.S. exchange participants in Pakistan. Security needs may be included in the proposal budget.
