USAID/Pakistan has announced Annual Program Statement on Pakistan Private Investment Initiatives. The purpose of this program is to provide capital for SMEs with highgrowth potential, coupled with management direction and skills for improving operations and corporate governance practices.
Eligibility & criteria-
- USAID welcomes applications from qualified Pakistani and international fund managers.
- U.S. and Non-U.S. Non-Profit Organizations: Qualified U.S. and non-U.S. private nonprofit organizations may apply for USAID funding under this APS.
- U.S. and Non-U.S. For-Profit Organizations
- To be considered a “local” organization, an entity must-
- Be organized under the laws of the recipient country or a country within its region;
- Have its principal place of business in the recipient country;
- Be majority owned by individuals who are citizens or lawful permanent residents of the recipient country or be managed by
- a governing body, the majority of whom are citizens or lawful permanent residents of a recipient country; and
- Not be controlled by a foreign entity or by an individual or individuals who are not citizens or permanent residents of the recipient country.
