Proposals are invited for English language micro-scholarships for disadvantaged but outstanding undergraduate students in Asuncion and San Lorenzo, Paraguay for economic empowerment. This program will assist with this effort by developing English language skills that provide educational opportunities and alternatives to disadvantaged Paraguayan youth.
The purpose of these awards is to give bright Paraguayan undergraduate university students residing in the greater Asuncion metropolitan area, from financially disadvantaged families, the opportunity to study English as a second language (ESL) or English as a foreign language (EFL). The two to three year program of study for undergraduate students will provide participants with the level of English language skills to enable them the opportunity to apply for graduate studies in the United States after completing their undergraduate studies in Paraguay.
