All eligible applicants are invited to submit applications for 17th Lopez Jaena Community Journalism Workshop on Disaster Reporting. The objective of this program is to focus on issues like disaster reporting, disaster-related laws, ethics and investigative reporting. The workshop will be conducted at UP College of Mass Communication, Diliman, Quezon City from October 13 to 19. The fellowship will cover board and lodging.
Documents required-
Application letter; resume; two published/broadcast news reports; a story plan for an investigative report on a disaster; and an endorsement from their editor, local press club president or a Lopez Jaena Community Journalism Workshop alumnus.
Eligibility & criteria-
Fellowships are open to full-time print, broadcast or online journalists, as well as journalism educators and students. Applicants should be 45 years old or younger, and must have at least two years of journalism experience.
