The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) is desired to offer funding assistance to community groups, non-government organizations, people’s organizations and in exceptional cases, international NGOs, and government institutions for small projects addressing governance, democracy, capacity-building, economic, and other social development issues. CFLI can provide up to a maximum of PhP 1 million per approved project.
Priority themes-
- Promotion of human rights with a specific focus on democratic governance, rule-of-law and the promotion and protection of women’s rights and gender equality.
- Sustainable economic growth by improving basic human needs and increasing opportunities for women and youth
- Disaster relief and risk reduction
Eligibility-
Community groups, non-government organizations, people’s organizations and in exceptional cases, international NGOs, and government institutions are eligible
