The Philippine-American Fund for Entrepreneurship and Local Assistance for Development (PAUNLAD) Project look to establish a grant-making facility that will provide seed grants to support business start-ups, promote innovation through entrepreneurship, and advance citizen advocacy for greater public accountability, transparency and integrity.
This grant-making facility will oversee and manage the fund on behalf of USAID/Philippines. It will entail issuing solicitations to local organizations, reviewing and pre-screening applications, awarding grants, monitoring and evaluating grant performance, closing out grants, and reporting to USAID. Qualifying sub-grantees of this seed funding will be chosen through local competitive processes. Individual sub-grants are expected to be at least P10,000,000 each. Sub-grants of smaller amounts may also be considered for innovative proposals that meet USAID objectives.
