Request for Applications (RFA) is invited for women’s leadership Programme in education in Rwanda. This request for application is announced by Higher Education for Development (HED), in association with the United States Agency for International Development in Rwanda (USAID).
HED expects to make one award of $1,080,000 for the period from October 1, 2012 to June 30, 2015 for a higher education partnership between one or more higher education institutions in the United States and the Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) in Kigali, Rwanda.
The main aim of the partnership is to support the Government of Rwanda and USAID/Rwanda’s education development goals which promote gender equality and female empowerment.
This partnership is part of an innovative effort known as the Women’s Leadership Program, whose objetive is to encourage national as well as local development goals which promote gender equality and female empowerment. Subject to the availability of U.S. government funding, HED anticipates issuing a total of five RFAs for higher education partnerships under the Women’s Leadership Program in Rwanda, Paraguay, South Sudan and Armenia.
