The Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa (FTTSA), a nonprofit initiative offering assessment and certification services to tourism products in South Africa, seeks to contract the services of an independent consultant (or group of consultants) to evaluate the project described above, implemented by FTTSA and funded by the NDA during the period 01 April 2008 to 28 February 2011.
The outputs of the consultancy will be:
- A list of stakeholders consulted during the evaluation process;
- A critical analysis of project management during the project;
- An analysis of key outputs in terms of the two main objectives of a) product development and b) improving market access for each of the six beneficiaries;
- An evaluation of the effectiveness of the project activities (including marketing);
- A summary of partner experiences of the project.
