The Microinsurance Innovation Facility’s fellowship programme is an opportunity for young professionals to gain hands-on experience in microinsurance by working onsite in a microinsurance programme under the remote guidance of a mentor and, at the same time, to build the institutional capacity of the host organization. The assignments, based in developing countries, last from 6 to 12 months. Fellows are provided with monthly stipends that vary by host country and experience. Fellowships are learning opportunities and not offers of employment.
The fellowship programme is available from March 2012 to March 2013 at Cape Town, South Africa with the host organization: Centre for Financial Regulation and Inclusion (Cenfri).
Cenfri’s mission is to support financial sector development and financial inclusion through facilitating better regulation and market provision of financial services.
The Fellow will be responsible for developing and implementing Cenfri’s Knowledge Management and Capacity Building strategy. Although the Fellow will interact with the whole of the Cenfri research team during the course of his/her duties, he/she will report directly to a Cenfri director. It is foreseen that knowledge management duties may take up the largest part (60%) of his/her time.
The application deadline is 30 November 2011. For more information, visit this link.
