Safe Think is a French government bursary program. Safe Think program was launched in 2010 . The aim of this programme is to strengthen the links between France and South African think tanks. Safe thinks deals in the fields of political, Human and social sciences.
The objectives of safe think programme are:
- Bring together the French, European and African scientific network
- Build sustainable cooperation south African think tanks and their French counterparts
The 2010 and 2011 editions of the programme allowed several South African senior researchers to conduct joint projects with research institutes based in France. In view of the interest expressed in the programme by partner institutions, the French government is pleased to open applications for 2012.
The safe think programme has come up with a program for PhD students and researchers. The think safe program aims to assist South African and French researchers willing to take a joint research project in collaboration with French Research Institute.
Fellowships will include a 2 000€ monthly allowance, a roundtrip airline ticket, visa fees and full medical and social insurance.
Requirements-
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have experience in programme/project management coupled with a relevant publication record. Applications from researchers with a Master’s qualification, having pertinent experience and publication record will also be considered.
Given the bilateral nature of the partnership, preference will be given to South African applicants. However, all candidates meeting the requirements are encouraged to apply.
