The Innovation Technology Business Incubator, Invotech in collaboration with Technology Innovation Agency has issued a call for applications to access the seed grant to support innovative and viable green technologies.
The project timeline must be less than 12 months and the amount of funding requested must nor exceed R500,000.
Focus Areas
- Environmental (Soil, Water, Air) – conservation, Remediation, Pollution reduction
- Energy – Renewable sources, alternate sources, efficiency (profuction and use)
- Transportation – alternate vehicles (hybrid-electric), battery and engine technologies
- Advanced materials – Bio-based plastics, green chemistry, nano-materials
- Waste – Beneficiation, reduction/treatment, management

Eligibility Criteria
- Only South Africa citizens are eligible to apply.
- Participant must be an entrepreneur or SMME based in KZN.
- Would not qualify for funding from traditional banks or other funding agencies.
- Funding for pre-determined seed fund activities that are listed in the application template will only be considered.
