Do you belong to developing world? Are you studying in South Africa? The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) supports women from developing world studying in four select Universities of South Africa. The education grants designed for Women who make a difference is provided to students of University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town, University of Stellenbosch and University of Witwatersrand.
The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund also has Latin America Program and US/Canada Program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be women and the national of an eligible developing or middle-income country.
- Applicants must be at least 25 years of age by the deadline.
- Applicants must be enrolled for the full academic year in one of the above mentioned Universities in South Africa.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need (provide relevant financial information).
- Applicants must demonstrate a commitment and record of service to women and/or children in developing world.
- Applicants must have plans to return to a developing country about two years after completing the degree.
- Applications from immediate or extended family member of any World Bank Group, IMF or Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) staff member or their spouse are not accepted.
- Prior recipients of MMMF grants are not eligible to reapply.
