This scholarship was established in 2001 with a gift from the trustees of the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools. It recognizes the longstanding relationship between the NE/SA and The American College of Greece, and, in particular, honors the close friendship between ACG President John S. Bailey and the late Stanley Haas, past president of NE/SA and his wife, Mary Anne.
The NE/SA Scholarship is given for one academic year to an entering or continuing student at the College who has been selected by the President. Renewal of the award to the same recipient is at the discretion of the President. The scholarship is intended to provide assistance to a promising student originating from one of the countries served by the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools.
Eligibility–
- demonstrate academic promise.
- maintain full-time status.
- originate from an NE/SA country(Proof of birthplace is required)
