All eligible applicants are invited to submit proposals for Health Financing and Social Protection in the MENA Region. This program is being supported by Middle East and North Africa Health Policy Forum (MENA HPF) which is an independent non profit regional organization dedicated to the development, particularly in the low and middle income countries of the region, of effective, efficient, equitable and sustainable policies that improve health and/or that mitigate adverse consequences of ill health, particularly for those who are most disadvantaged.
Selected researchers may be awarded up to 3000 USD for funding the research.
Questions to be covered-
- What health conditions or adverse events actually cause impoverishment, to which population groups in which countries?
- To what extent are different healthcare financing and social protection systems in MENA succeeding in protecting their populations, particularly the most vulnerable, from impoverishment consequent upon adverse health events?
- What are the determinants of health care financing to achieve good governance, cost effective coverage, accessibility, equity in utilization?
Eligibility & Criteria-
Researchers with established research track record on gender issues, whether residing inside or outside the Region.
