Being established in 1993 as an international NGO, MH has been working in over forty countries worldwide to help those affected by natural disasters, conflict and poverty.

About MH’s Livelihood Programme
Muslim Hands Livelihood Projects are designed to empower the individual into training and work which will give them an independent, sustainable and long-term income. MH has been empowering people in the developing countries to become self-sufficient and independent earners. The organisation is dedicated to serving the most vulnerable people across the world by addressing the root causes of poverty and empowering communities. MH’s livelihoods programme provides individuals with the tools, specific training and the small loans necessary, to help them start their own business or trade.
Past Livelihood Projects
- In Delhi, India MH combined AIDS screening and AIDS awareness programmes, with livelihoods schemes. Muslim Hands Livelihoods Projects helped HIV positive Atul Raghaw in India begin his life afresh with a stable and regular income providing emergency relief, medicine, food and water supplies.
- MH in Albania has supported delivering medical aid across the country and providing water and sanitation facilities to the largest refugee camp in Tirana.
- Muslim Hands has been working in Niger since 2005 focusing on enhancing the social development of the Nigerian people and helping to eradicate poverty through livelihoods projects such as poultry farming, farming tools and seed distribution to education and successful water sanitation projects.
- The foundation has provided Honey production kit to Lebanese farmers as part of MH Livelihoods scheme in Lebanon.
