The overarching objective of this programme is poverty reduction in the context of sustainable development, including the pursuit of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and other internationally agreed targets.
It is an “actor-oriented” programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations and local authorities as a pre-condition for a more equitable, open and democratic society through support to their “own initiatives”.
The specific thematic priority for the Programme is COMMUNITY MOBILISATION FOR INCLUSIVE PARTICIPATION IN DEVELOPMENT. All proposals must also dedicate a phase of the project to: CAPACITY BUILDING FOR NON-STATE ACTORS (NSA)
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 5 million (from budget-line 21.03.01). The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds.
