The Sudanese Education Fund was founded in 2003 as a non-profit organization. It works towards helping the South Sudanese Refugees. For nearly four years, the South Sudanese Community Center has been a social hub for refugees living around the region, offering services like technology and job training and a chance to socialize and worship together. SEF run many programs and offer grants as well.
SEF started giving out educational grants in late 2003. Till now SEF has awarded grants to approximately 250 South Sudanese students in Massachusetts.
SEF Educational Grants are based on the following criteria:
- The applicant is a South Sudanese student with permanent resident status in Massachusetts
- The applicant is enrolled in a bona fide educational institution/program
- You must have a GPA of 2.5 or above
- You must submit your transcript from the previous year.
Grants may include stipends for tuition, computers, and books. Computers through the technology program are no longer available We are accepting applications in hard copies only.
