Japanese International Cooperation Center (JICE) under the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program is currently seeking applications from eligible candidates coming from target organizations in Tajikistan for the 2 year master degree program at Japanese accepting universities for the academic year 2012-2013.
JDS program was launched in the Republic of Tajikistan in the year 2008 and till date a total of 8 fellows have been sent to Japan under the program. Language of program is English and the number of dispatches is 5 per year.
The fellows of the JDS program in the Republic of Tajikistan are selected from the “Target Organizations” whose mission is closely related to the “Sub-Program.
Sub program, target organizations and accepting institution
The master degree programs for candidates from target organizations in Tajikistan are available in the following sub-programs:
– International Relations at International University of Japan, Graduate School of International Relations. Target organizations is Ministry of Foreign Affairs
– Institutional Building for a Transition to a Market Economy and Economic Development at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies. Target organizations are Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and National Bank of Tajikistan
Eligibility
– Citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan;
– Between the age of 22 and 39 (as of April 1, 2012);
– Required at least two years of work experience as full-time employee in the target organizations;
– Has bachelor’s degree;
– Has a good command of both written and spoken English (TOEFL score of 500 / IELTS 5.5 or higher is preferred but not required);
– Has not been obtained Master’s degree under the support of foreign scholarship;
– Must not be serving in the military.
The applications need to be submitted to JICE JDS project Office in the Republic of Tajikistan through the Civil Service Department under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
