European Union (EU) is inviting grant proposals from eligible organizations in Thailand and EU Member State for ‘Non State Actors in Development In-country interventions – Thailand’ Grants Project. The primary goal of the grant program is to strengthen the civil society operations with the aim of promoting an inclusive and empowered society in Thailand and in particular to address the issue of social exclusion and marginalization in Thailand and to promote social cohesion, dialogue, mutual understanding and reconciliation.
The Non State Actors (NSA) program works to strengthen the capacities of national NSAs (in partnership with Local Authorities [LAs] where relevant) to enable them to contribute effectively and sustainably to the development of the country. This call for proposal is aimed at strengthening the capacities of NSAs which promote the interests of the most marginalised groups, at supporting advocacy and raising awareness actions, at creating platforms for constructive dialogue, and ultimately at creating the conditions to ensure that decision making processes are carried out in consideration of the needs and interests of all the societal groups in Thailand, including the most disadvantaged ones.
The applicants can ask for grants of EUR 300 000 – EUR 500 000 which can be maximum 90% for action of applicant from Thailand and 75% for action of applicant from EU Member State. The action must take place in Thailand and must be completed within 24 to 48 months.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legal person from non-profit-making organization and must be Non State Actor (NSA).
- Applicants must be legally established in a Member State of the European Union or in Thailand. NSAs must be officially registered in accordance with the legislation in force in their respective country.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
