All eligible organizations are invited to submit proposals for Civil Society Facility Media Freedom and Accountability Programme under Europe Aid. The mission of this program is to improve conditions for an independent and accountable media through stronger collaboration and partnerships between journalists, media associations and rights-based Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and effective dialogue with governments.
This program aims to promote sustainable investigative journalism and aim to strengthen the civic segment in the media field, including the capacity of association of journalists to protect the professional role of journalists and journalism in a democracy.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 1,500,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 36 months nor exceed 48 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be a media organisation (CSOs) or representative network of CSOs working on a theme of relevance to this Call for Proposals
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or in a Beneficiary under the Instrument of Pre-accession Assistance (hereafter referred to as “IPA Beneficiary”)
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- be active in, or group CSOs from at least four of the seven IPA Beneficiaries in the Western Balkans and Turkey
