All eligible applicants are invited for British Institute at Ankara (BIAA) Research project that fits within one of the Strategic Research Initiatives currently sponsored by the Institute. This program aim’s at supporting, enabling and encouraging world-class research in Turkey and the Black Sea region in the fields of history, archaeology and related social sciences.
Eligibility-
- Support is available for postgraduates to carry out periods of study abroad in the fields of the arts, humanities and the social sciences that is related to and/or undertaken in Turkey and the Black Sea littoral.
- Proposals are expected to fit within the existing set of BIAA Strategic Research Initiatives.
- Applicants should consult the Institute’s ‘Eligibility for Institute research funding’ document (available from the website). Please note that applicants must be linked to a UK academic institution.
- In accordance with the regulations of the British Academy, applicants may not make applications for funding to both the British Academy and the British Institute at Ankara.
- The elements of the application which is here being made to the Institute must be undertaken in the period May 2013 to March 2014.
