Small Grants for Youth Internship and Volunteering opportunity has been announced by Summit Foundation (SUFO). The title for this project is Youth for Change with funding from the Youth Solidarity Fund 2013 under the United Nations Alliance of Civilization (UNAOC). The objective of this program is to promote the spirit of volunteering among the youth from Acholi and Langi sub-regions and increase access to socio–economic opportunities, improve inter–cultural relations and peaceful co–existence and development in the two target sub-regions. The project intends to support 20 young interns/volunteers with small grant to facilitate their internship/volunteering in any reputable organization within Acholi and/or Langi sub-region for a period of one month.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The applicant must be from any district of either Lango or Acholi sub-region.
- The applicant must not be more than 30 years old.
- The applicant must be in possession of a Certificate or Diploma or Degree from any recognized institution in any field or discipline of study.
- The applicant must be ready or available to commence internship/volunteering in his/her station of internship/volunteer acceptance by Monday, November 25, 2013 and complete the same by Friday, December 20, 2013.
- The applicants from Lango should be willing to intern/volunteer in Acholi and vice versa.
- All applications MUST be written in English and not exceeding 2 pages
