Deadline: 11 December 2015
The Uganda Fund is currently accepting applications for Livelihoods Projects for wartime SGBV survivors in greater Northern Uganda.
The goal of the project is to provide livelihoods opportunities for conflict related SGBV survivors aimed at increasing their household income. Through the granting mechanism, Uganda Fund will select carefully vetted community based organizations to partner with while providing technical assistance, financial management and monitoring and evaluation to ensure sustainability beyond the project time frame.
The Uganda Fund that was established in 2007 and registered as a Ugandan NGO, is a grant-making organization that emphasizes investments in local capacity, regional cooperation, and an organizational structure that is steeped in, and responsive to community needs.
The project’s theory of change states that ensuring sustainable livelihood to conflict-related SGBV survivors empowers them economically and reduces their vulnerability to re-experiencing SGBV in the aftermath of violent conflicts. A key indicator of this change is increased household income levels for SGBV survivors that transform them into self actualizing, autonomous and productive community members.
