Applications are invited for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Open Society Scholarship Program. It is a joint scholarship program aiming to help graduate students in the Balkans and graduate students and junior faculty in the Transcaucasian and Central Asian countries of the former Soviet Union.
The scholarship program is developed in order to improve and promote teaching and research in humanities and social sciences in the region. It also provides for the establishment of a strong network among the participants and German academics.
The scholarship program is open to Armenia, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Serbia, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
The last date to receive the applications is October 31, 2011
