EU-UNDP Equal Opportunities and Women’s Rights in Ukraine Programme have announced the call for proposals aimed at “Supporting regional initiatives of the Civil Society Organizations and State Social Services Centres in the area of Domestic Violence Prevention and Response”.
The Call for Proposals is aimed at providing civil society organizations (CSOs) with information about the EU-UNDP Equal Opportunities and Women’s Rights in Ukraine Programme and to guide applicants through the current Call for Proposals.
Objectives:
– raising public awareness, promotion of zero tolerance to domestic violence;
– prevention of education targeting boys and men;
– promotion of rights of women and girls to receive support and protection from domestic violence;
– increasing responsiveness of local government, communities and social services centres to the needs of people suffering from domestic violence, their protection and support;
– strengthened organizational and professional capacity of the above-mentioned organizations
– changing gender prejudices and stereotypes on domestic violence among policemen, state officials, doctors, judges, prosecutors, general public, etc.
Evaluation criteria:
Applications will be evaluated by the Grants Appraisal Committee against the following main criteria:
– importance of the problem addressed by the project for prevention of domestic violence;
– specificity in defining target audience of the project, as well as other stakeholders;
– level of competence and experience of the applying organization in issues addressed by the project, and professional level of project personnel;
– clearness, feasibility and practicality of planned results;
– effectiveness of the proposed methodology with regard to resolving the given problem and achieving planned results;
– justified and balanced project budget.
