The Delegation of the European Union (EU Delegation) to Ukraine in cooperation with the Centre for Ukrainian Reform Education is seeking applications for the 15th session of the EU Study Days project conducted from 23rd- 27th March, 2016.
The EU Study Days is an education project initiated by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. It provides the opportunity for Ukrainian university students and graduates to gain deeper and wider knowledge about the European Union and EU-Ukraine relations from key experts in the field and from different viewpoints.
The project also facilitates the establishment of a network of young Ukrainians who will be able to share their experiences and implement joint initiatives in the future.
Benefits
The EU Study Days will create an opportunity for Ukrainian university students and graduates to:
- get more information about the European Union and EU-Ukraine relations from key experts in the field;
- comprehensively study major issues in EU-Ukraine relations in all key fields (politics, security, war in Donbas, Minsk process, Crimean annexation sanctions, economy, energy, law, values, visa issues, the Association Agreement and its future);
- gain the opportunity to get in touch with representatives from the EU institutions, key experts and researchers;
- develop a network of young people in Ukraine, which will be able to exchange their experience and implement joint initiatives in the future.
Selection Criteria
- Competence of the applicant
- Coverage of the biggest possible number of regions
- Applicant’s proficiency in English (knowledge of English is required to participate in the project)
Eligibility Criteria
- The project is open to Ukrainian university students in their last years or recent graduates (who graduated max. three years ago) from Kharkivska, Dnipropetrovska, Donetska, Luhanska and Zaporizhska oblats (target regions of the 15th session).
- Priority will be given to students and graduates who obtained (or are obtaining) education in the following fields: international relations, European studies, law, political science, economy, finance, business, sociology, journalism, history, cultural studies, philosophy, and philology.
