Europe Aid is inviting proposals for ‘Sustainable Urban Demonstration Project (SUDeP) : Supporting the Eastern Partnership cities in the implementation of Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs), under the Covenant of Mayors’ Grant project 2014. The main aim of the grant project is to enable local authorities in the Eastern Partnership countries to implement pilot projects incorporated in their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) under the Covenant of Mayors and thus bridge the gap between the SEAPs and their practical implementation.
Any action directly related to achieving the targets of the Covenant of Mayors and especially related to the effective implementation of the Sustainable Energy Action Plan are encouraged to apply for the grant program. Total indicative budget for ‘Supporting the Eastern Partnership cities in the implementation of Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) under the Covenant of Mayors’ grant project is €12.25 million and duration of each project should not exceed 48 months.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legal Non-State Actors, public sector operators or local authorities established in one of the countries of Eastern Partnership (post-Soviet states – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and the European Union).
- Applicants must not be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- The proposed action must take place in signatory cities of the Covenant of Mayors in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova or Ukraine.
