European Commission is seeking proposals to promote Civil Society and Local Authorities in Ukraine which strengthens civil society’s capacities to promote national reform and increase public accountability. The call is divided into three lots which are as follows-
- Lot 1 “Neighborhood Civil Society Facility
- Lot 2 “Non-State Actors in Development”
- Lot 3 “Local Authorities in Development
The overall indicative budget for all three lots of this call for proposals is € 3,044,000. Individual grants are expected to range from € 200 000 to € 400 000 for Lot 1 and from € 100 000 to € 300 000 for Lots 2 or 3. The planned duration of a project shall be between 24 and 48 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Under Lot 1″Civil Society Facility” and Lot 2 “Non-State Actors in Development”-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be specific types of organisations such as: Non-State Actors (NSA)9 constituted in accordance with the legislation in force of the country concerned
- be established in10 Ukraine or a Member State of the European Union
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- Under Lot 3 “Local Authorities”-
- be specific types of organisations such as: Local Authorities (LA)11 or associations of Local Authorities constituted in accordance with the legislation in force of the country concerned. LA
- LA associations originating from a Member State of the European Union which propose an action must demonstrate an established and effective partnership with local organisations in Ukraine
- be established in Ukraine or a Member State of the European Union
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
