Japanese International Cooperation Center (JICE) under the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program is currently seeking applications from eligible candidates working in various target organizations in Uzbekistan for the 2 – 2.5 year master degree program at Japanese accepting universities for the academic year 2012-2013.
JDS program was launched in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 1999-2000. Till now a total of 206 Uzbek fellows have been sent to Japan under the program. Language of program is English and the number of dispatches is 15 per year.
Fields of sub-program and accepting institutions
The master degree programs for candidates from Uzbekistan are in the following fields:
– Human Resource and Institutional Development for Economic Development offered at Waseda University/Graduate School of Commerce, Ritsumeikan University/Graduate School of Economics, Nagoya University/Graduate School of Law.
– Improvement of Economic Infrastructure offered at International University of Japan/Graduate School of International Management.
– International Relations offered at Waseda University/Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies
Eligibility
– Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan
– Between the age of 22 and 39 (as of April 1st, 2012). Born on/after April 2nd, 1972 and born on/before April 1st, 1990.
– Work Experiences
->> Must belong to the target organization listed on the guideline as a regular employee.
->> Must have more than two-years work experience in the relevant fields in the target organization as of October 17, 2011
– Has a bachelor’s degree;
– Has a good command of both written and spoken English;
– Has not been obtained a bachelor or master’s degree in a foreign country under any kind of scholarship including UMID foundation scholarship or at their own expense;
– Must not be Military personnel registered on the active list or person on alternative military service.
The applications need to be submitted to the JICE JDS project Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
