UN Women office in East and Southeast Asia launched a request for proposals from professionals, development organizations to develop a practical, user-friendly, human rights-based Handbook “Handbook on the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of Domestic Violence Laws in East and Southeast Asia ” that can be used by governments and civil society in the countries of the sub-region for monitoring and evaluation of implementation of Domestic Violence laws. In addition, the Handbook could potentially be used/adapted by ASEAN stakeholders as they are planning to document good practices on ending VAW and violence against children to undertake studies on the implementation of domestic violence laws in the AEAN region.
In order to fulfill this assignment the organization will follow the next steps:
a) Undertake a preparatory literature and legislation review;
b) Development of a Handbook on monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of domestic violence laws in countries of East and Southeast Asia; and
c) Organize a peer review workshop in Bangkok with practitioners from the sub-region and adjust the draft Handbook based on the feedback obtained.
