Humanitarian Response funding is allocated in response to specific emergencies to alleviate the adverse humanitarian effects of natural disasters.
These disasters include drought, epidemics, floods, storms, earthquakes, volcanoes along with man-made disasters including wars, conflict, famine, technological, environmental as well as social.
Humanitarian Response funding is especially for United Nations agencies, not-for-profit organizations and the Red Cross Movement. These guidelines demarkate the need for monitoring, evaluation and accountability activities to be included in proposals and budgets. This funding focus our support for the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) principles of accountability.
