This can be important part of the application because DFID funds only those organizations whose mission and objectives fit into DFID’s values and priorities. To check out DFID’s values and priorities, you can visit the DFID website, especially the following links:

Once you are thorough with DFID’s values and priorities, you can now set down to answering the question 2.9 where you need to provide specific examples, not just write down how your organization fits with DFID’s values and priorities.
DFID has prioritized Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and so, if your organization has implemented activities under these, they can be specifically mentioned here.
For example, if your organization has been working on microfinance and providing loaning services for the poor to undertake livelihood work and improve their household incomes, then you can mention this activity by relating it to the Millennium Development Goal One: “Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger.
If your organization has been providing primary education to children through schools, then you can mention that as part of the Millennium Development Goal Two: “Achieve universal primary education.
Similarly, if your organization is creating awareness amongst women on human rights, then this can be related to Millennium Development Goal Three: “Promote gender equality and empower women.
More information about Millennium Development Goals can be accessed at this link.
To ensure that your organization fits to DFID’s values, you can give examples of how your work has led to equal development. Low-caste, poor and the underprivileged have been the beneficiaries of your organization. You can use this as an evidence to prove that your organization is based on values of equality and does not discriminate people on the basis of caste, creed, race, religion, ethnicity or sex.
2.10 is where you mention the annual income of your organization during the previous three years and totaling the average income out of it. The figures should be related to the audited accounts in the balance of statements.
2.11: you can list out the agencies which are currently funding your organization. If DFID is also your current donor, you can mention it with the percentage of funding your receive from it out of the overall organizational funding.
