3.1 has the list of Millennium Development Goals and you need to check all those that your project contributes to. Select the same way as you selected in 2.8. You can select more than one MDG.
3.2 needs to be answered if you did not choose any one of the MDGs, but this is a highly unlikely case.
3.3 seeks to know the rationale for implementing the project. You need to justify the reason for proposing the project.
(Since the concept note should not exceed more than 6 pages, make sure your response in this section is limited, which means it should also be precise and to the point)
In a “Improving the Rights of Women for their Better Participation in Social, Economic and Political Systems,” it could be written this way:
“The Government has a high level of commitment to achieve gender equality and advance the socio-economic and political status of women. In fact, it has introduce a series of key policies and legislations to improve women’s rights such as the Anti-Trafficking Law, the Act for Prevention of Gender-based Violence and the increased reservation of seats for women in the parliament. However, challenges still remain to address because the Government lacks resources and the capacity to implement policies in remote areas such as the Ramechhap District.
The proposed project will address these challenges and technically support the government in ensuring the proper implementation of its gender policies to improve the rights of women for their socio-economic development and political participation.”
